A Little About… YOU!
You may not know me and I’ve likely never met you. However, I’ll bet that if you’re a business owner and you have a website I can make a couple of assumptions about you that may be a little too accurate for your liking.
First, you’re a decent person. You’re also very good at what you do and you enjoy most aspects of your business.
When you’re actually doing what you’re paid to do time flies, you get in the zone and you remember why you started your own business in the first place. However, the problem is that very little of your time is actually spent doing what you enjoy.
Instead, there are all of these other aspects of your business that monopolise your time. Administration, managing suppliers and/or employees and oh yes, let’s not forget sales and marketing.
Finding New Customers - that is the kicker, isn’t it?
You’re not a salesman. You don’t like picking up the phone and cold-calling for new customers. Nor do you like attending networking functions where there are dozens of other people there all trying to sell you their services.
You prefer to just attend to your customers and get your work done.
That is why you have a website and that is why you may or may not be using pay per click or SEO to generate traffic to your site. Ideally, some of those visitors to your site will become sales leads and some of those sales leads will become your customers.
